Which gear knob will fit my car?
Most of the replacement gear knobs we stock are designed to fit any car. However, the important thing to look out for is whether your car uses a lift-up reverse gear knob (where you need to lift a part of the gear stick up in order to select reverse gear).
We stock quite a few gear knobs for lift-up reverse cars. These gear knobs have a wider bottom than normal and a half hollow centre to allow the lift reverse mechanism to fit inside.
Is it easy to fit a replacement gear knob?
Most car gear knobs have either one or three grub screws through the sides of the gear knob that can be tightened to clamp the gear knob to the gear shaft. These grub screws are usually hidden from view under a collar at the bottom of the gear knob. Once the standard gear knob is removed, fitting is simply a case of placing the gear knob over the gear shaft and tightening these grub screws.
Most of our gear knobs come with detailed fitting instructions either inside or on the packaging.
My gear stick is lift-up reverse. Do you have a gear knob that will fit my car?
Yes. We have quite a few gear knobs that will fit cars that have a lift-up reverse gear selection mechanism. Please see the lift up reverse gear knobs category.
